Richard L. Simmons

Richard Simmons May 16, 1949 – June 21, 2019

Richard began his life on May 16, 1949 in Blakely, GA. He was the son of Willie May Pittman Davis (deceased) and Theology Davis (deceased).

Richard attended Washington High in Blakely, GA, but got his GED from Essex Community College in Newark, New Jersey.  He served in the Marine Corps for 4 years and had a lawn care service for many years.  Richard’s life ended on Thursday, June 21, 2019. He will be missed dearly by his loved ones.

He leaves behind brothers: Henry Simmons (Kathy) of Carrollton, GA and Willie James Bryant (Alma) of Montgomery, AL; a sister: Helen Fudge of Blakely, GA, and Jean Strong (James) Ft. Pierce, Fla. a son: Cimon McBride; and two grandchildren: Cimon McBride II and Morgan McBride; special niece and nephew: Cheryn Cawthon and Eric Cawthon, both of Blakely GA; and special friends: the West family.
