MR. ANDRE D. PONDER (P-RO)

                 Andre Deshun Ponder was born on July 9, 1988 in Blakely Ga. to the late Sandra Williams Ponder and Bobby Ponder. At an early age he joined Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church later moving his membership to 2nd Kiokee Missionary Baptist Church. He attended the Calhoun County school system but later transferred to the Early County school system before entering the workforce. He was currently employed at Birdsong Peanut Company in Blakely, Ga.

Andre had a passion for cars and bikes but his most loved passion was being with his family and friends. He was no stranger to anyone and always extended a helping hand. He was known for his ability to create joyous moments, his infectious smile, his amazing strength and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Andre departed his life on Saturday January 23, 2021 at SAMC. He was proceeded in death by his mother Sandra Williams Ponder.

Andre leaves to cherish his memory:  his loving and devoted wife Brandi Ricks-Ponder, his grandmother, Elizabeth Glover; 3 kids: An’Taniyah Martin, An’Taveon Ricks and Aaliyah Ricks; his father Bobby Ponder, his siblings Nicole (Brian) Thornton, Andrea (Al) Lampkin, Ariana Ponder and Vessna Powell. Andre also leaves memories to the many that cared for him. He will be truly missed by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Special friends he held dear to his heart: Marino Ogden, Demetria Logan, Kavaeris Mitchell, Rebecca Jackson, Henry Ricks, Caleb Freeman and  Ladon Pittman.

 neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall be any more pain:
