REFLECTION OF LIFE

On September 14, 2023, GOD saw the need to prune from His earthly flower garden one of His most precious and valuable flowers, Airman Dentavius DeShawn Upson.

Dentavius “De” Upson was born on June 1, 1992, to Dennis and Maxine Upson. His grandmother, more like a second mother, Janet Jones and his grandfather, Willie D. Upson preceded him in death.  James Foster and Preston Jones (his uncles) Patricia Rowe and Denita Foster (his aunts), Brittany Calloway (his cousin), and Lesia Williams, his godmother preceded him in death as well. 

Dentavius started his youthful days at Macedonia M.B. Church. He later developed his own personal relationship with God.

De was educated in Blakely, GA with the Early County School system. He was a graduated of the 2010 class. He later started his career with the United States Air Force until becoming disabled.

Dentavius leaves to cherish his memories of his loving parents, Dennis and Maxine Upson. One brother, Deonnis Upson and two bonus sisters, Taylor Canty and A’myah Hall of Blakely, GA. Grandfather-McArthur Jones and grandmother-Gloria Foster. Uncles- Sterling Collins (Stafford, VA), Eric Rowe (Miami, FL), Marcellous Jones (Paris, France), Willie Upson (Morgan, GA) and Randy Wade (Blakely, GA). Aunts-Janice Hanks (Albany, GA) and Shanavia Foster (Blakely, GA). Cousins-Shermaine Winns, Prentice Collins, Sterling Collins II, Patrice Collins, Kandace Collins, Karolyn Collins, Aaliyah Hayes, Jalan Hayes, Jordan Bradley, Franchesca Charles, Natasia Hines, Peyton Iglehart, Erikea Rowe and Erik Rowe. God-siblings-Latia Johnson, Bert Johnson, Jr., Mahogany Foster, and Jatravian Wiggins. A host of great aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He loved a very special friend, Carmenlita Lewis.
