Brother Frank Echols
Frank Echols was born to the late Handsome & Fredonia Echols, on June 28, 1935 in Blakely, Ga. Joining Allen Chapel A.M.E. church at a young age, Frank remained a member throughout his life. He served as a proud and devoted deacon as well as filling in, in any position he was needed.
As an original member and manager of the Friendly Five of Blakely, Ga, he served his community and sang God’s praises wherever he traveled. From a teen until his earthly departure, at the age of 85, Frank actively served as a part of this Iconic Group that he and his departed brethren created
Preceded in death by his siblings, Charlie Echols, Emory Echols, Jr. and daughter Shalisa Freeman, he leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Jacqueline Echols, Sisters: Inez Murrell, Mary Francis Wimbs, and Doris Hayes and children, Shirley Christmas and Keyera Echols.
A host of nieces, nephews, grand children and great grand children, spread across various states. As a member, manager, father, brother, friend, coworker and Christian, Frank has met and touched many who will miss him dearly.
