Obituary for Mr. Horace L. Anderson
On Sunday, February 22, 2020 our loved one, Horace Lee Anderson, 72, transitioned back to the Father. He was born in Blakely, Ga on Thursday, October 21, 1947 to a loving mother, Mrs. Lizzie Mae Anderson, and father, the late Mr. John Henry Anderson.
Horace attended Washington Elementary School. He was a “Proud and historical 1970 class member” of the last graduating class from Washington High School. Horace was employed and retired from Birdsong Peanut Mill.
At an early age united with Rosinvick Missionary Baptist Church, under then Pastor, Rev. Cleveland Sanders.
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind a wife, Mrs. Hester Anderson of Cuthbert, Georgia. Their daughter, Shaniqua Anderson preceded him in death. He leaves behind a daughter, Kakelia Wiggins. Three (3) grandchildren – to include Shaniya Lee (Granddaughter), Anquaniya Lee (Granddaughter) and Jatravion Wiggins (Grandson) all of Blakely, Georgia. Through marriage, Horace also leaves three stepsons – Anthony Scott, Dexter Harden, and David Harden: and one step daughter – Norma Harden. Nine step-grandchildren – Damon Scott, Kayla, Kendra and Katrice Maddox; Kylee, Kyrell, Jaden and Neal Harden; and Latoya Daniels.
Horace also leaves behind his mother – Mrs. Lizzie Mae Anderson of Blakely, Ga. Four sisters: Virginia Anderson Davis, Ft. Gaines, Ga.; Betty Anderson Kegler (Willie J. “Elmo”) of Blakely, Ga.; Ruth Walker Milledge (Willie) of Albany, Ga., Sarah Walker Lockett (Kevin) of Albany, Ga.; One sister-in-law, Mary Helen Anderson of Blakely, Ga. A very loyal and dedicated cousin – Mrs. Lula Mae Glenn., Along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
