Mr. John D. Sparrow

             John D. Sparrow was born on December 25, 1944 in Blakely, Ga. to Ella Mae Sparrow and the late Willie Ree Sparrow.  He was known by his family and friends as My Daddy, Big Daddy, Big John and D Boy.  He enjoyed gardening and relaxing in his big chair watching his favorite western shows. He was employed at Glass Brothers Farm until his transition.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: Johnny Wiley, Freddie B. Sparrow, Willie Lee Sparrow and Walter Sparrow.

He leaves to cherish his memories: His mother, Ella Mae Sparrow, a loving long time special friend, Ms. Sara Allen Reed

5 daughters: Gloria Early ( Dennis ), Betty Johnson ( Rodney ), Joann Sparrow, Jaylynn Salway all of Blakely, Ga.

Lashonon Price ( Brian ), Albany, GA.  Three sons: John Lee Sparrow, Willie C. Sparrow, Elidrick Allen, all of Blakely, Ga.

He leaves 9 Bonus Children he loved as his own: Kesha Cox, Virginia Graham, Elizabeth Moore, Jerome Graham, Rathus Smith, Bobby Smith, Jerry Smith, Ray Charles Smith, Willie Sam Smith.

5 Brothers: Lorenzo Sparrow, Sr., Joseph Sparrow, Both of St. Augustine, FL, Arthur Sparrow, Blakely, Charles Battey, Robert Sparrow, both of Tallahassee, Fl.

7 Sisters: Katie Mae Sparrow, Gladys Battey, Louise Sparrow, Annie Sparrow, Blakely, Ga. Jerusha Rowe ( Clifford), Delores Ann Mitchell ( Daniel ), Willie Ruth Reid, St. Augustine, FL.

15 Grand kids, 38 great grands, 4 great great grands, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
