Linda Sue Thompson, 63 years of age was born on March 1, 1958 to the late George Graham, Sr. and Annie Ree Gilbert of Blakely, Georgia. On July 6, 2021, she transitioned to her kingdom home while hospitalized at Southeast Medical Center, Dothan, Ala.
Sis. Thompson joined the Macedonia Baptist Church in Blakely, Georgia at an early age under the leadership of Rev. A. Harris where she was a devoted member until her and her husband’s health failed. Linda loved to sing and dance, but everyone knew her for her passion which was cooking. She retired from Southwest Ga C.A.C. (Early County Head Start) after serving faithfully as Food Manager for 22 years. Sis Thompson was a 1976 graduate of the Early County High School.
Linda was preceded in transitioning by her husband, Deacon Toney J. Thompson, One brother, George Graham, Jr and One sister Cathy Graham-Jackson.
On July 8, 1978, Mr. & Mrs. Thompson were joined in Holy Matrimony. In this union, they added two beautiful children: One Son, Anthony Thompson (Lacretia) & One Daughter, Niji (Roderick) Thompson-Johnson, Two adorable grandchildren: One Grandson Xaylin I. Thompson & One Granddaughter, Ra’ji O. Johnson whom all she loved dearly.
