Mattie D (Dunwood) Henderson

Celebration of Life !!!

Mrs. Mattie Mae Dunwood Henderson was born August 9, 1937 to the late Willie Mae Hutchins and the late  S, Bay Dunwood.  She departed  from earth on May 27, 2020.

Mattie joined St. Mary’s Baptist Church at an early age.

Those who preceded her in death were her husband, Ira Henderson, Daughter, Elaine Henderson Lee , Sister Margaret Dunwood. Brothers: Albert Dunwood, Willie C. Dunwood, Ralph Dunwood, Grandson, Marcus Lee, Nieces: Phyllis Dunwood Graves, Cathy Dunwood.

Mrs. Mattie Mae Dunwood Henderson leaves in memory (2) daughters, Brenda Dunwood and Robin C. James of Blakely, Ga. Two sons Phillip Henderson and Keith Henderson, all of Blakely, Ga. And One daughter in-law- (Jerry) Two sons -in-law, Jeffrey James and Dan Lee, Jr.

Grand children - Dan Lee III  (Kristoill ) Antonio Lee ( Angela), Keith Freeman, Cherrell Williams, Martika McClendon, Phillip Henderson, Jr. , Jasmine James, Aydacus Lee, Shaneka McClendon, Temke Ofton.

Sisters: Pollie (Walter) Kegler and Arlene Dunwood

Brother: Hubert Dunwood  (Doll), Sister-in-law,  Josephine Dunwood.

Mattie also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Two special Friends, Terri and Ron Hutchins.
