Obituary for the Late Deacon James Sutton

Deacon James Sutton was born March 28, 1935 in Early County (Damascus, Ga.) to the late Eugene and Mary Sutton.  The Lord called him home on Sunday, December 17, 2023.  He spent his earlier years working on the farm until his retirement in early 2000.  In his spare time, he enjoyed  attending church, watching television and peddeling around the house.

He leaves to mourn, a loving companion, Jacqueline ( Judy ) Henderson, God daughter Shawnita Perry and God grand daughter, Sharkayla Perry of Montgomery, Ala.  Two sisters preceded him in death: Doshia and Ruth.

His siblings are: Paul ( Betty ) Sutton, Damascus, Ga., Ulysees ( Deloris ) Sutton, Jacksonville, Fla., One sister, Corine Robinson, Atlanta, Ga. One brother-in-law, W.M. Toliver, Damascus , Ga.

Step children: Frank, Ulysees Baxter, Linda McCoy ( deceased ), Larry , Keith and Sharon Hall, A devoted and caring nephew, Terry Toliver, Dothan, Ala. As well as two Special step grands, Lashonda  ( Shan ) Lyles and Latashia ( Tot ) Wright, Blakely, Ga. A host of step grands and great grand children, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
