LIFE REFLECTIONS
As we celebrate the homegoing of our Sister Lou Frances Frank Russell, let us not forget the love and the memories she left with us. Sister Lou Frances Frank Russell, was born on November 1, 1929 in Blakely, Georgia. She is the daughter of the late Garfield Frank and Hattie Moses Frank. She is the sister of James Edward Frank.
She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Jerusalem A.M.E Church. She was educated through the Early County School System in Blakely, GA. In later years, she moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where she met and married the love of her life, James Edward Russell Sr. To this union one child was born, James Edward Russell Jr.
She spent most of her adult life in Philadelphia. She was a faithful member of St. Paul A.M.E Church in Philadelphia. Many years later, she returned to Blakely to care for her mother. After returning home, she reconnected with her home church, Jerusalem A.M.E Church. She was a soldier for the Lord. She served tirelessly, gave willingly and loved unselfishly. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, friend and touched many lives.
On October 26, 2023, The Lord called her name and she answered. Those who preceded her in death are parents (Garfield and Hattie Frank), husband (James Edward Russell Sr),her only son (James Edward Russell Jr. also known as Jimmy) and brother (James Edward Frank Sr).
She leaves to cherish her memory one niece, Alvetta Frank Harris (Charles) of Blakely, Georgia; one nephew, James Edward Frank Jr of Blakely, Georgia; and numerous cousins, friends, and caregivers.
