Obituary for A'myra Smith

A’myra  Markia Smith, 22, died September 9, 2022 at her home in Blakely, Ga. At her request, no service will be held. Ms. Smith was born on March 10, 2000 in Blakely, Georgia to Denise Sparrow and  Marcus Smith.

                   She attended school in the Early County School System where she excelled. A’myra was the Salutatorian of her Middle School Class and was a part of the School’s basketball, track, and  tennis  teams.  In high school, she was  class president of the freshman class, a superlative, member of the JROTC program, and voted most athletic.

Her strong school work ethics transferred to her adult life where she held jobs at Georgia Pacific, Tyson, and U..S..D..A AMS lab. A'myra is survived by her beautiful daughters: Autumn and   Aubrey, Thornton, Brothers:  Caleb Austin, DeMarcus Johnson, Marquis Johnson, and  Martavis Mitchell; sister Ke’ Marcia Lewis; grandparents: Ethel Rhine Cox, and Dennis and Gloria Early.

She was preceded In death by her brother, Tyler Winns, and grandfather, Larry Smith. Her life would seem short to many, but those who were touched by her ,understand that the quality of existence far exceeds the quality of time in which one lives. She also leaves a Special Friend, Dre Thornton.
