Ms Freddie Davis Obituary

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”

                      Matthew 25:23

Today we celebrate the home going ceremony of Freddie B. Davis. Freddie was born November 24,1946 in Blakely, GA, to Dennie C. and Mary B. Davis, who preceded her in death.

Freddie was a graduate of Washington High School in Blakely, GA. She attended Albany State College, which is now Albany State University in Albany, GA. Soon after she moved to Newark, NJ and worked at Equitable Life Insurance Company, (AXA), in which she retired as an underwriter after 32 years of service. While in Newark she met her life partner Walter W. Reddick, Sr. and from their union they had two sons Dennis C (Sharon) Reddick and Walter W. (Taimeka) Reddick Jr.

Freddie was a member of the Trinity Temple SDA Church, in Newark, NJ for many years. Where she held various positions which included Head Usher, Head of the Usher Board of North New Jersey, and President of the Allegheny East Conference Usher Board Federation. She served at Trinity Temple until illness stopped her.

Mom made her transition from Perth Amboy, NJ, Pottstown, PA, Stockbridge, GA, Valrico, FL and finally back home to Blakely, GA. Freddie has truly come full circle!

Mom passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by family. She leaves behind her sons, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, Bryce, Colleen, and Clinton (Sims). Her brothers Will (Jean) Davis, Walter (Annette) Davis, Dennis (Penny) Davis, sisters Mary Lois Davis (deceased), Barbara Trumbore, Mary Ellen (deceased) Pittman and Jo Evelyn (Pastor, Dr. Nathaniel) Hollis, along with numerous nieces, and nephews.  Freddie was an awesome and loving Mom, Sister, Aunt, and friend.  Most of all she loved and praised The Lord.
