Obituary for Ms. Hazel Johnson

Hazel Johnson was the seventh child born to the late George ( Essie D. ) Johnson on November 24,1953. Hazel attended Kessler School in Damascus, Ga.  She later was employed as a seamstress with Roberta Mfg.

        She joined St. Mary M.B. Church at an early age. She was later placed as head of the church’s kitchen Committee until her health failed. Sis. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents:and four sisters: Bertha Norwood, Mildred Ceasar, Catherine Johnson, and Shirley H. Foster, two brothers: L.C. Johnson, and Tommy Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories, Six Sisters: Eddie Dean Hudson, Tallahassee, Fla., Georgia M. Franklin, Villa Rica, Ga. Mary Wade, Merlene Johnson, Debra J. Davis, Gwen ( Dennis ) Thompson, One brother, Eddie ( Charlie M. Johnson ) all of Blakely, Ga. One Aunt: Lula B Rush, Tallahassee, Fla.

A host of loving nieces, and nephews. Three very close cousins: Ruby Blocker, Cousins, Alonzo Rush, Isiah Battle, Six Dear friends: Phyllis Sims, Michelle Brooks, Carolyn Holmes, Rose Felder, Mary Ann Blackmon. Two special nieces: Charde and Chrishanda. Her care giver, Latasha Wimbush.
