OBITUARY
Sister Tommie Mae Smith was born on February 12th, 1952 to the late Tommy Day and Lillie Mae Kegler. She departed this life on November 7, 2022 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, Ala. Tommie joined The Upper Room Ministries Church in Blakely, Ga., where she served as Sunday School Secretary and Usher.
She was preceded in death by her father Tommy Day Kegler, her mother Lillie Mae Kegler. Two brothers: Clarence Kegler, and Walter Kegler. Three Uncles: Tommy Lee Kegler, John Arthur Stapleton and L.A. Stapleton. Five Aunts: Lillie Mae Williams, Louise Love, Ammie Stapleton, Nora Mae Reed and Thelma Swanson, One Sister-in-law, Irene Kegler. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, One Son, Andre Laron Smith, Sr. of St. Petersburg, Fl. Two Grand Children: LaQuenda Smith, Blakely, Ga., Andre Smith, Jr, St. Petersburg, Fl. One child she raised, Chadwick Kegler, St. Petersburg, Fl.
Five Great-Grand Children: Eryn Gilbert, Caston Gilbert, Kinsley Yarbrough and Kade Yarbrough, all of Blakely, Ga. Andre Smith III, St. Petersburg, Fl.
Five Brothers: Rev. Johnny Kegler ( Laura ), Rev. Willie J. Kegler ( Betty ) and Lenny Jimmy Kegler all of Blakely, Ga. Clarence Charles Kegler, Albany, Ga. and Darren J. Kegler, Sr., St. Petersburg, Fla.
She also leaves Four Sisters: Lovetta Powell ( Ralph ), Pastor Lillie Powell ( Edward ), and Pastor Jonnie Mae King ( Michael) all of Blakely, Ga. Catherine James, Atlanta, Ga., Three aunts: Willie Bell Jackson ( Nate ), Lillie Bell Russell and Martha J. Stapleton, all of Blakely, Ga. Two Uncles: Jacob Stapleton ( Virginia ) and Nolan Stapleton all of Blakely, Ga. Three Sisters-in-law: Pollie Kegler, Armilda Kegler, and Laura Kegler all of Blakely, Ga.
Also a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends, plus a Special Cousin, Robert Early.
