Willie A. Holmes

Obituary

Mr. Willie Albert Holmes of Blakely, Georgia was born October 31, 1960 to the late Ms. Juanita Holmes and the late Mr. Charlie Gilbert. He suddenly departed this life on January 15, 2023 at LifeBrite Hospital.

At an early age, he along with his mother, and two brothers moved to Hallandale, Florida for many years.  In 2017, he moved to Albany, Georgia where he joined Victorious Life Baptist Church. He became ill in 2021.  He remained in the Early Memorial Nursing until his passing.

Willie received his education at Hallandale High School. He worked at various restaurants in Hallandale, Fla.

Three brothers preceded him in death: Johnny Holmes, Charlie Holmes, and Harrell Holmes.

He leaves to cherish his memory, two sisters -in-law: Pearly Holmes, Hallandale, Fla and Brenda Holmes, Albany, Ga.

Sis aunts: Ella Holmes, Alberta Blackmon, Barbara Holmes, and Earlene Holmes all of Blakely, Georgia, and Pinkie Davis of Ft, Lauderdale, Fla. Two uncles: Jimmy ( Oteau ) Holmes of Blakely, Ga. and David ( Gloria ) Holmes, Hallandale, Florida, and a host of Nephews, nieces, and other dear friends and cousins.
